Step 1- Cutting

Pipe must be cut as squareas possible. Use a miter boxsaw or power saw. Checkthe end of the pipewith asquare to make sure it hasbeen cut squarely. A diagonalcut reduces bonding area inthe most effectiveand criticalpart of the joint.Plastic tubing cutters may also be used for cutting plastic pipe; however, some produce a raised bead at the end of the pipe. This bead must be removed with a file or deburring tool, as it will scrape the cement away when pipe is inserted into the fitting.
